While looking for the validation set to validate our model we realized that an intern of ours didn't actually create any validation subset! What can we do to try to detect it?

Look at the results of our model: if those are all pretty similar, overfitting is definitely happening.

It doesn't matter, you can split train data into train/split subsets at any point!

Check the model's coefficients: if those are large it might be a signal that overfitting is happening.
