About
Living organisms inherit some of their traits (characteristics) from their parents. Can we use math to deduce how often a trait occurs in the population? It turns out that we can. Solve a series of issues in population genetics. You'll see, for example, how a farmer can affect the distribution of peas seeds' color and how a cat breeder can prevent a dangerous genetic disease.
Training project
This project allows you to practice and strengthen your coding skills, helping you get ready for more advanced tasks ahead.
What you'll learn
Once you choose a project, we'll provide you with a study plan that includes all the necessary topics from your course to get it built. Here’s what awaits you:
Learn the basic laws of inheritance and probability theory.
Learn the concept of the expected value and find how the color of peas can change over generations.
Learn the concept of limits and diagonalization of matrices for prediction.
Apply the linear algebra techniques to discover how the future depends on the present.
Discover how to prevent fatal genetic diseases.

Was interesting, but not clear in some tasks and theory. An excellent opportunity to update knowledge on matrices and close the gaps. Also, the theme of the project itself fuels interest in solving problems.
