Avoiding bad comments

When you can change the code and make it more easily understood (then you should do this instead of adding comments).

When you are working in a team with more experienced programmers, and they are certainly familiar with everything you add to the program.

When you just start programming, and no one will see the code you are writing except yourself.

If you already made the same comment a few lines before when introducing something to the program.
